Learning Objectives: Introduction to logic (basic terminology), prepositional equivalencies, logical equivalence, predicates and quantifiers, introducing logic programming, and knowledge representation. An overview of Prolog language, knowledge representation by horn clauses. Lab Session: Prolog Language. How Prolog answers questions, syntax and meaning of Prolog programs, data objects, matching, lists, operators, arithmetic, controlling backtracking, negation as failure, difference lists, cut, meta- programming, meta-logical prolog predicates.
