Learning Objectives: Numerical methods for solving engineering problems drawn from all fields of engineering. The numerical methods include: error analysis, solution of linear and transcendental simultaneous equations, solutions of ordinary and partial differential equations, numerical integration and differentiation, matrix and vector manipulation, roots of nonlinear algebraic equations, least-squares approximation and interpolation.
