Learning Objectives: English 201 is a 3 credit hour reading comprehension course. The main objective of this course is to develop the students’ reading comprehension and help students acquire vocabulary in context. The course emphasizes the reading skills of scanning, previewing and predicting, guessing word meaning from context, as well as identifying referents and main ideas.
