Learning Objectives: In this course, students will study the theory and algorithms in digital image processing. Topics include image representation; image enhancement; image restoration; mathematical morphology; image compression; scene understanding and motion analysis. Hands-on experience with related programming will be obtained through computer sessions using MATLAB environment.
