CMPE 355 - Data Communi & Comp.Network I
Concepts and principles underlying data communication networks including TCP/IP protocol suite and OSI model, digital and analog conversions, and multiplexing. Transmission impairments (e.g., probability of bit error), Ethernet, network layer protocols, IP addressing and subnetting, probability of packet error, UDP and TCP transport protocols, and application layer protocols. The laboratory provides hands-on experience in designing, simulating, configuring, and troubleshooting smallto-medium size networks .
