This course is digitally enriched, uses learner-centered teaching
approach via inculcating critical thinking, problem solving and adaptive leaning strategies. . Topics covered include measurements, significant figures, atomic structure, nomenclature, stoichiometry and chemical calculations, chemical reactions, thermochemistry and enthalpy changes, quantum theory of the atom and electron configuration, chemical bonding and molecular geometry. The above topics are presented using experiential learning strategy in which the students will gain a strong foundation in chemical principles and their applications in different fields.
