Reading Workshop Intermediate is the second of a two‐level series that
prepares Foundation Program students with the skills and strategies needed to become efficient readers in preparation for their future university studies. Each class is comprised of a series of short activities, including teacher‐guided intensive reading,critical thinking/ entrepreneurial competencies, fluency training, and vocabulary expansion activities. Various digital tools and platforms
are used in lessons and assignments. An extensive reading component
offers students the opportunity to independently apply the techniques
practiced during class. The assessments for the course are both formative (through extensive reading and course work) and summative (through exams).
